Sean Apperson demonstrates the set up to the guillotine choke from the closed guard. The guillotine is one of the most powerful chokes in grappling and has been very successful in MMA competition. This technique seems easy enough, however the movements and subtle adjustments required make it difficult to hit in training. We encourage lots of repetitions learning how to fluidly move into this position.
